But sometimes, a bit of a boost or extra help is extremely welcome. Especially early on after you’ve just been diagnosed and your body lacks the vitamins and minerals it needs. Or whenever you need a vitamin and/or mineral boost yourself.
We have already talked about the best magnesium supplements to take for fatty liver (read that article as well if you haven’t). But today, we’re moving on to check out the best vitamin supplements for fatty liver.

Before we start, I have to say that there isn’t much medical data linking vitamin supplements to treating fatty liver disease. This doesn’t mean it won’t work, though.
Renowned health website webmd, for example, highlights vitamins E and C as helpful in reversing the condition. It seems that some studies have found that these vitamins can help improve your condition.
Also, Niacine has been linked with improvements in the condition since it lowers high triglyceride levels. But a complete vitamin boost shouldn’t hurt, especially if your body needs one or more of these vitamins.
As an alternative, you can take a supplement that is a general tonic liver (without added multivitamins though) which will help your liver get back in shape faster.
My recommended supplement is Liver Support Plus – this supplement is created using natural ingredients and gives you all the great supplements recommended for reversing fatty liver (milk thistle, beetroot, artichoke, as well as the company’s proprietary blend of liver detox products).
If you’re looking for a wonder pill for your liver, this is it: but do have in mind that no pill will actually do wonders without you following a solid diet and exercising.
Finally, many adults suffer from vitamin D deficiencies and it seems that more sever cases of fatty liver might have an influence over the lower levels of this vitamin.

So we would say that it seems that it would make sense to take a supplement if needed to give your body what it needs.
What are the best vitamin supplements?
Before I go on to share with you my recommended vitamin supplements, I have a confession to make.
I prefer taking effervescent supplements in order to cheat a bit. They are like a glass of soda per day. I no longer drink soda, but I think that the multivitamins and mineral supplements I’m taking (since they have no sugar), are the closest thing I can get.
I am getting a boost of health and cheating my way to a free kind-of-soda per day. Have this in mind as well if it sounds like something you might want to do.
Of course, most people won’t agree with my way of thinking and for them I have regular multivitamin supplements to recommend as well. So let’s not waste any time and let’s check out my recommendations:
Oxylent Multivitamin Drink
These are my favorite and this is what I am taking constantly for a few months now – mostly because of my “cheating” described above. There are also various flavors available for this 0-calorie drink.
If you’d like something that has a lot of vitamins and minerals, then you definitely have to opt for this award-winning product.
I don’t really like that it has iodine – as we’re getting enough of that through salt intake normally, but at least it’s just 33% of daily values and most other supplements have 100% of it.
But if you take it, you give your body a massive boost: vitamins C, E and D are all included, as well as lots of other vitamins and minerals. A nice boost to start the day with!
Vitamins Only – Solgar
These are pills, but they are easy to swallow. I prefer these because it’s only multivitamins that you get, so no extra minerals for you – as sometimes you might not need more of those.
Great value for the price and they have great ingredients. They don’t have sugar, salt, starch, corn, yeast, wheat, soy, dairy products, preservatives, artificial flavors or colors.
The best choice if you don’t want to use my “cheating” method above, yet you want a nice boost of vitamins for your body and fatty liver reversal efforts.
Nature’s Blend Multi-Vitamin No Minerals
If you want an alternative, I believe that Nature’s Blend product is a great choice for you.
It offers 100% of the daily recommended dose of all the vitamins it has, although just 10% of the recommended daily intake of Biotin. I would prefer Solgar’s product, but these would work just as fine.
So there you have them – these are the best vitamin supplements you can take if you’re suffering from a fatty liver, if you want to give your body an extra boost.
I don’t consider vitamin supplements a must in order to reverse fatty liver, but I believe they have beneficial effects, even though there is still no real science to back this up.
At least they are scientifically accepted as general boosters so even if they don’t help your fatty liver directly (although they might), they are still useful for your overall state of health.
I did take them and I still do, so I recommend others to take them as well. It’s your choice though and I am sure you could still pull it out with the correct diet and lifestyle changes! Make sure to always talk to your doctor, to make sure that they are good for you.
Should you take vitamin supplements if you have a Fatty Liver?
Vitamins and minerals are essential for our bodies to work properly. Low levels can cause various problems, while normal levels will help our bodies deal with problems a lot easier than otherwise, according to studies.
Plus, many studies showed that excess vitamins coming from supplements are simply eliminated as waste so at most they will do no harm.
However, supplements are generally considered beneficial under the correct circumstances, as the US Food & Drug administration notes.
In other words, taking the right vitamin supplements when suffering from a fatty liver disease might help, especially after you’ve been diagnosed and your healthy diet still had little time to create the correct balance of vitamins and minerals in your body.
Personally, I constantly take vitamin supplements even now after reversing the fatty liver, as well as magnesium supplements.
I don’t use them as a replacement for a healthy diet – and nobody should – but I do believe they help.
I usually go for a 10 day run of magnesium (and sometimes calcium), then a 10 day run of multivitamin supplements each month. Sometimes I skip a month also.
However, it’s not a must to take supplements when fighting against fatty liver and you will most likely be able to reverse it simply by changing your diet and sticking to it, as well as doing physical exercise.
But I also believe that, in most cases, it won’t hurt. Even more, it could actually help improve the condition. So why not try it, if your doctor agrees with this as well. Any extra help to get rid of your fatty liver faster helps!
